Final Project

You will present your site in class.
Please bring a one-page handout describing your audience and the message you intent to communicate with you site. Tell us how your design and organziation contributed to your goals.

1. Animated Movie: This section is an animated splash page, advertisement, mini-movie, or special section for your site. There should be multiple animations in sequence and overlapping. You should take care to use all the space on the stage and beyond. Vary the size and location of the text.

Please note that the format of this requires that most animations are done on the main timeline with each animation on a different layer with a different starting point as noted by its keyframe. This is different than many of the assignments you’ve done, so plan carefully.

Must have:
a. Skip intro or return to main site button that returns the user to the main content section
b. Minimum of 5 motion tweens and one shape tween
c. An event sound on your on a button
d. The end of the should have a button to return to the main site, or should automatically redirect folks back into the site.
Optional:
a. preloader
b. flash detector
c. sound in the background (note: only add a short loop of music not a whole song or your movie will take forever to load)
d. mousetrailers

2. Main Site: This is the content section of your site. You must have five meaty content sections with text and art (either drawings, pictures, etc.). You should use pictures carefully incorporating the trace bitmap feature or cropping your pictures wisely before importing.

Must have:
a. Five content sections
b. One section must have a sub-menu system with additional content (can be an interactive instruction section using drag/drop or buttons that highlight different regions on the page)
c. Transitional animations
d. Animated buttons (movie clips with animations used for one state)

Optional:
a. drop down menu
b. javascript pop-up window
c. forms
d. drag and drop
e. other things not shown in class
